i would like to thank everybody who came out a few weeks back for TCAF. the show was super successful and just a lot of good fun. i really look forward to this show as it really showcases creators and their ideas. the only thing that could take it up one more notch would be if it was yearly instead of every two years… (nudge nudge.)
chris butcher, one of the geniuses behind the show, as with every show, allowed us (TRANSMISSION-X and friends) to go all out and gave us a nice space to showcase our wares. we had banners, a slide-show, sketches, swag and lots of good times. speaking of sketches, the above gem is a little bit of fun i had at the convention inbetween doing sketches for the fine folks who were perusing the show, plus a 10¢ colour job for a little embellishment. i can’t help think how awesome a team-up story featuring these two would be! i would definitely buff up chewie a lil (i drew him a tad too skinny) and i would go out of my way to make sure yoda had his pet snake that came with the action figure back in the early 80s! so good.
since TCAF things have been moving at a nice pace. KUKUBURI is back on track, i’m rolling along with GREEN RIVER KILLER for dark horse comics (i’ll post pages when i can) and, out of left field, i am doing the last 5 pages of issue 12 of WILDCATS for wildstorm!
go figure
more soon (promise.)

I like skinny Chewie. Don’t change it.
I don’t know what you’d do if they removed the words “meander” “peruse” “doodle” and “percolate” from the English language.
HAHA. so true… i would be lost. luckily i would still have the word “shenanigans” to play around with.
