Ramón K Pérez is an established cartoonist, illustrator, and designer with over two decades experience in the creative field. He is a multiple Eisner and Harvey award winning artist and has additionally garnered such accolades as TheThe Honour Book and Official Selection 2008 Silver Birch Non-Fiction Awards, ForeWord Reviews’ 2010 Book of the Year Award, and The Shuster Award for best graphic novel 2012, amongst numerous nominations, for his collaborative works in children’s literature, digital media, and comics. 

Ramon is also the CEO of the prominent Royal Academy of Illustration & Design (RAID) a powerhouse creative agency and comic arts studio. Their repertoire of clients include Archaia, Marvel, DC, Dark Horse Comics, Owl Kids, Scholastic Canada, McClelland & Stewart, Lucasarts, Epitome Pictures, Hasbro, Wizards of the Coast, Clorox, The Cartoon Network, Fox media, CBC, amongst many more.

Currently Ramon is completing his all ages graphic novel Kukuburi. His most recent published work was adapting JANE, a modern retelling of the classic Jane Eyre, for Archaia entertainment with screenwriter Aline Brosh Mckenna (The Devil Wears Prada, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend). Other lauded works include illustrating and co-writing NOVA with Jeff Loveness for Marvel Entertainment, his adaptation of Jim Henson’s Tale Of Sand for Archaia Entertainment, The All-New Hawkeye with Jeff Lemire, and The Amazing Spider-Man: Learning To Crawl with Dan Slott. His works can also be seen in the award winning Fear This Book, and the young-reader’s adventure series The Max Finder Mysteries for Owl Publishing which he illustrated for 7 years.

At the end of the day Ramón calls an old converted stable-house in the midst of Toronto’s west end home, which he shares with his four plants, a life-sized Boba Fett, amongst other curios, wondering where life and career will take him next.
